Description:

This work is part of ShouXin’s Black Cat Series, capturing a small black cat walking against the wind. Sweeping horizontal lines follow the length of the cat’s body, creating the impression of wind moving through its fur as it strides steadily forward.
While the cat’s face, legs, and upright tail remain clearly defined, the graphite across its body gradually softens and disperses into lighter trailing marks. This contrast between solid form and fading linework gives the composition a distinctive sense of motion, as though the little black cat were momentarily emerging from the wind itself.
